Why am I charged sales tax for my purchases?

Nina Cusanelli LLC, the owner of Causes & Heroes, as well as the Heroes Cross® Collection is required by law to charge state and local sales tax for orders shipped to states where we have a “nexus” and where such states impose a tax on remote sales. A “nexus” essentially means any state in which we have a material business presence . Like all other internet and telephone based merchants, we must charge sales taxes where such taxes are imposed by the destination state.

Are all orders paid in full?

Yes. The total amount of all item(s) ordered will be charged in full to your credit card. Online orders cannot be paid for on an installment basis.

Can I return merchandise?

Yes, you can return merchandise to Nina Cusanelli LLC if there is an error on your order or you are not totally satisfied for any reason within 30 days. Please see the return policy on the Policies page on the web site for instructions on how to return merchandise.

How will your charges appear on my credit card bill?

You will have a charge that will say causesandheroes.com or Nina Cusanelli LLC. This charge will include the purchase price, shipping and handling and sales tax if applicable. I

Do you endorse the charities mentioned on the  website?

Yes. We feel the charities we have selected are legitimate, well run, and efficient in their use of funds. We also believe that they fill an important mission for the Heroes they support. That said however, our listing of a charity does not in any way imply it has endorsed Nina Cusanelli LLC or any of its products.

What are your products made of?

Our Heroes Crosses® are made of various high quality materials. 

• Our "Heroes Cross Collection" items are made of .925 sterling silver with 18k gold plating. Some have mini-diamonds embedded. These come as necklaces with a 20" light weight fashion chain of sterling silver or as a pin with a heavy-duty tackback,
• Our Public Safety Collection items are platinum plated over a zinc alloy base. The centers are enamel inlay, some outlined in 18K gold plate. These come with a heavy-duty 24' stainless steel chain.
• Our "Ribbons for Heroes" Collection items are platinum plated over a zinc alloy base. The bodies are enamel inlay and the centers contain a mini-diamond.  These come with a heavy-duty 20' stainless steel chain.
